The Nasarawa State Government has again cautioned the public against circulating false or unverified information capable of disrupting the prevailing peace in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Addra, and made available to journalists.

Addra explained that the warning became necessary following a completely false report alleging the kidnapping of students in Doma Local Government Area.

According to him, findings from local authorities, the principal of the purported school and members of the community confirmed that no such incident occurred.

The Nasarawa State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, also issued a statement debunking the report.

He urged citizens to disregard the false alarm and remain law-abiding, assuring them that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
