The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) are set to hold a solidarity rally in Abuja on Tuesday, 3 February 2026.

In a joint statement, the unions said the march to the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) secretariat is intended to show support for the Joint Unions Action Committee (JUAC) and other affected workers.

“This rally is to publicly affirm that ‘an injury to one is an injury to all,’” the statement read.

The unions have urged the government to implement the demands of health and FCT workers, including the delayed 2021 Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) salary review.

Union leaders have appealed to members to ensure the rally remains peaceful and lawful.

“History has taught us that rights are never gifted, they are won through collective resistance and principled struggle,” the statement added.

Authorities and organisers are expected to meet ahead of the rally to finalise logistics and security arrangements, while interested Nigerians have been advised to check union platforms for updates.

Recall that the unions had earlier issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Ministry of Health over the delayed implementation of CONHESS.
