Trading activities closed in the positive on Monday with 0.014% to close at 37,952.65 points higher than 37,947.18 points recorded at the close of trading on Friday last week.
The market capitalisation also appreciated by N3 billion to close at N19,774 trillion as against N19,771trillion on Monday.
Monday’s trading saw a total of 462,808,980 shares with market value of N1,199 billion traded in 3,610 deals.
ETERNA led the gainers table having gained N0.65k or 10% to close at N7.15k per share. It was followed by UPL with N0.14k or 9.93% gain to close at N1.55k, then REGALINS gained N0.36k or 9.92% to close at N3.99k
On the other hand, FTNCOCOA led the losers list after it lost N0.03k or 7.32% to close at 0.38k, followed by SOVRENINS which lost 0.02k or 6.06% to close at 0.31k and ETI lost N0.20k or 3.77% to close at N5.10k
JAI Bank was the toast of investors for the day as it had the biggest volumes 217,122 million shares worth N116,621 million followed by STERLINBank with 78,184million shares valued at N119,553million.
Most of the indices performance was positive as four out of the five sub-sectors tracked closed in green. The Insurance index gained 1.17%, the Industrial index slightly rose by 0.01% and the Consumer good index rose by 0.10% and the oil and gas index rose by 0.29% while the banking index fell by 0.37%.
