President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shifted the take-off of his scheduled three-nation tour to Sunday, May 3, 2026, from the earlier date of Saturday.
The development was communicated by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, through his X (formerly Twitter) handle.
No official reason was provided for the adjustment in the President’s departure timetable.
President Tinubu is expected to visit France, Kenya and Rwanda during the trip.
The President’s itinerary includes participation in the Africa-France Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, scheduled to hold from May 11 to May 12, as well as attendance at the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, slated for May 14 to May 15.
President Tinubu is also expected to hold meetings with global and African business leaders during the engagements.
He will be accompanied by some ministers and senior aides and he is to return to Nigeria after the Rwanda trip.
