The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has unveiled a new digital platform, the Hajj Companion App, designed to enhance the pilgrimage experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
In a statement issued by the Commission, the app was described as an all-in-one guide that provides essential support services to ensure a safe, seamless, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for users. Pilgrims are encouraged to download the application by scanning the designated QR code provided in official communication materials.
According to NAHCON, the Hajj Companion App features a GPS-enabled navigation system to help pilgrims locate their tents and key holy sites across Makkah, Mina, and Madinah. It also offers a comprehensive Hajj guide in multiple Nigerian languages, including Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, to ensure accessibility for a wide range of users.

The platform further includes a 24-hour call centre for real-time assistance, as well as a built-in complaint system that allows pilgrims to report issues or emergencies directly from their mobile devices.

NAHCON noted that the introduction of the app reflects its broader commitment to improving service delivery, coordination, and responsiveness during the Hajj exercise.
The Commission urged all intending pilgrims to actively use the application, emphasising its importance in promoting safety and convenience throughout the pilgrimage period.
It also called on stakeholders and the general public to support efforts to disseminate information about the app as preparations intensify for a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
