The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has participated in the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives direct primaries held at the Jekadafari Ward in Gombe Local Government Area.
Speaking shortly after the election, Governor Yahaya commended the peaceful conduct of the primaries across Gombe State.
The governor praised the election management committee and all party stakeholders for ensuring a transparent, peaceful and credible process that provided all aspirants with a level playing field.
“We are one big family, and there is no victor, no vanquished. As far as I am concerned, they are all APC members and I urge everyone to cooperate and unite for the success of our great party in the forthcoming general elections,” he stated.
Governor Yahaya further emphasised the need for collective commitment towards sustaining the APC’s developmental strides in Gombe State.
“We will continue to work together to deliver on the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Gombe State,” he said.

Governor Yahaya also expressed delight at the maturity demonstrated by party members, noting that the peaceful embrace of democratic values was a positive sign for the future of the state and the party.
“I am happy that people have embraced democracy and are practicing it peacefully,” he said.

Also speaking, the representative of the APC National Headquarters and Chairman of the National Primary Election Committee for Gombe State, Labiru Musa Kafur, commended the Gombe State chapter of the party under Governor Yahaya’s leadership for upholding democratic ideals and strengthening internal party democracy.
“We are highly satisfied with the peaceful conduct and transparent process of the election,” he remarked.
The primary election was monitored by INEC officials and independent observers.
