President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been formally presented with the certificate of return as the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
The National Chairman of the party, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, presented the certificate and party flag to the President in the presence of senior party leaders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Hope Uzodinma, and other APC chieftains
President clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket for the 2027 general elections defeating his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, in the party’s nationwide direct primary election with a total of 10,999,162 votes.
Former Senate President Pius Anyim, who supervised the nationwide collation process, announced the official results on Sunday at the national collation centre located at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, venue of the APC Presidential Primary Election Committee proceedings.
Anyim disclosed that the party recorded 12,643,306 registered members, while 11,069,756 voters were accredited to participate in the nationwide direct primaries.
