President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket for the 2027 general elections, overwhelmingly defeating his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, in the party’s nationwide direct primary election with a total of 10,999,162 votes.
Former Senate President Pius Anyim,who supervised the nationwide collation process announced the official results on sunday at the national collation centre at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, where the APC Presidential Primary Election Committee held.
Anyim stated registered members to 12,643,306 while 11, 069,756 voters were accredited to participate in the nation wide primaries.
The party chieftain declared that President Tinubu swept the polls across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), securing all valid votes cast in several states.
