The Kano State Governor, Dr Umar Ganduje has approved a new calendar for 2020/2021 academic session for public and private primary and post-primary schools.
Governor Ganduje also directed the resumption of all schools on 18th January, 2021.
This was contained in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Education, Malam Sanusi Muhammad Kiru on Friday.
The statement directed those in boarding schools to resume on 17th January 2021.
On 15th December, 2020, the State government ordered the closure of schools in the wake of the abduction of over 300 students in Katsina and the spike in Covid-19.
