The Vice-Chancellor of Minaret University, Professor Abdur-Rahman Oladele Abdullah, has extended warm greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 1447 AH/2026.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the university’s Board of Trustees, Governing Council, management, staff and students, the Vice-Chancellor described Eid-ul-Adha as a celebration of faith, obedience, sacrifice and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS).
Professor Abdullah urged Muslims to reflect on the values of selflessness, compassion and service to humanity, noting that such virtues remain central to the mission and vision of the institution.
He also called for unity, peace and mutual respect among Nigerians, especially during the festive season.
The Vice-Chancellor prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the sacrifices offered by the faithful and sought divine blessings for families, the university community, Osun State and Nigeria.
He further wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration with their loved ones.
