The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has extended Eid al-Adha greetings to Muslims in the state and across Nigeria, urging citizens to pray for peace, unity and national development.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the Governor described Eid al-Adha as a festival that reflects the virtues of obedience, sacrifice and commitment to the common good of humanity.
Soludo called on Muslim faithful to use the spiritual significance of the celebration to offer prayers for enduring peace and accelerated progress in Nigeria.
He also encouraged acts of charity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the safety and security of residents in Anambra State, assuring that efforts were ongoing to maintain a peaceful environment during the festive season and beyond.
He further wished Muslims a peaceful and joyful Eid al-Adha celebration, expressing hope that the season would bring prosperity, happiness and unity to families across the country.
