The Senator representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, Muhammad Alieru, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris on the occasion of Democracy Day.
The Senator also presented his scorecard, highlighting achievements recorded during his 11 years of service in the National Assembly.

Speaking as part of activities marking this year’s Democracy Day celebration, Senator Alieru expressed satisfaction with the positive impact his representation has had on the lives and well-being of his constituents.
Represented by his Media Aide, Abubakar Kalgo, the senator identified agriculture, healthcare, education, road infrastructure, water and electricity supply, empowerment programmes, skills acquisition initiatives, Ramadan palliatives, and community development as key sectors where numerous projects have been executed.
“The people of Aliero, Birnin Kebbi, Bunza, Gwandu, Jega, Kalgo, Koko/Besse, and Maiyama Local Government Areas have continued to enjoy the dividends of democracy through economic prosperity, industrial growth, and improved social well-being during my 11 years of stewardship as the Senator representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District,” he said.
According to him, major interventions were carried out in education and institutional development, agriculture and rural empowerment, road construction and infrastructure, healthcare services, water supply and sanitation, youth and women empowerment programmes, electricity supply, and community development projects.
He explained that the projects include the construction of classrooms, medical outreach programmes, the supply of drugs to hospitals, the construction and renovation of hospital wards, the construction of township and intercity roads, the drilling of boreholes, the rehabilitation of water supply facilities, and the provision of 500 KVA electricity transformers.
The senator further stated that farmers across the constituency benefited from the distribution of fertilisers, tractors, water-pumping machines, ploughs, and bulls to enhance agricultural productivity.
According to him, skills acquisition materials and cash worth millions of naira were distributed to beneficiaries, while several Jumu’ah mosques were renovated across the constituency.
Senator Alieru also noted that bags of rice, maize, and other grains were distributed as Ramadan palliatives to support vulnerable residents.
