In a Father’s Day message issued in Awka, the Anambra State capital, on Sunday, Dr Soludo commended fathers for their sacrifices, dedication and unwavering commitment to nurturing future generations, noting that their influence extends beyond the family unit to society at large.

She paid tribute to her husband, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, whom she described as a devoted and exemplary father whose values, discipline and commitment to family life continue to inspire their children and those around him.

“Today, I celebrate my dear husband, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, a devoted and exceptional father whose values, discipline and unwavering commitment continue to inspire our family,” Mrs Soludo said, expressing appreciation for his leadership and support within the home.

She further noted that strong father figures contribute significantly to social stability by instilling values such as integrity, hard work, respect and accountability in young people, adding that these virtues are key to sustainable development and national progress.

She urged men to lead with purpose, compassion and responsibility, while encouraging families and communities to recognise and support fathers who continue to make positive contributions to child upbringing and societal development.
