Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, says the Federal Government is seeking to deepen strategic cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in agriculture, energy, industrialisation and infrastructure as part of efforts to advance the country’s development agenda.
The Minister stated this on Tuesday after leading the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, to a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Describing the visit as a strategic engagement, Odumegwu-Ojukwu said it reflected the warm and cordial relationship between Nigeria and the UAE, noting that both countries share common aspirations for economic growth and sustainable development.

According to her, the Nigerian Government intends to broaden collaboration with the UAE in critical sectors, including agriculture, energy, industrialisation and infrastructure, to support national economic transformation.
The Minister also disclosed that both countries are preparing for a Joint Commission meeting, which she described as an important platform for deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing mutually beneficial partnerships across the identified sectors.
