President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), Engr. Cornelius Adebayo Olusegun, for his contributions to agricultural transformation as he marks his 40th birthday.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, the President noted with satisfaction NALDA’s ongoing cultivation of more than 3,500 hectares of farmland across the country, describing the initiative as a major contribution to the administration’s drive to strengthen food security, increase local food production and stimulate economic growth.
President Tinubu said Adebayo’s accomplishments reflect the emergence of a new generation of public sector leaders committed to innovation, accountability and results-oriented governance.
He also commended the Executive Secretary for leading reforms at NALDA that have empowered more than 5,000 smallholder farmers through farm mechanisation programmes, improved rural livelihoods and engaged over 500 youths in climate-smart agriculture.
“As you mark this 40th year milestone, I commend your passion, dedication and commitment to the development of Nigeria’s agricultural sector. Your work at NALDA is helping to unlock the vast potential of our agricultural resources and improve the lives of thousands of Nigerians,” President Tinubu said.
The President prayed that Almighty God would continue to strengthen the celebrant with good health, wisdom and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
