The Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, has called for stronger alignment between technology, human talent and effective regulation to drive sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

Speaking on Thursday at the Advertising Industry Conference 2026, Mallam Ndace said balancing innovation with creativity and effective regulation is critical to building a resilient, ethical and globally competitive advertising sector.

“Amid these rapid changes, people remain the drivers of creativity and trust, while effective regulation provides the guardrails that encourage innovation, protect consumers, and uphold professional standards,” he said.

Ndace stressed that technology, talent and regulation must work together to build an advertising industry that is ethical, inclusive, competitive and responsive to society’s needs.

“As we shape the future of advertising, we must ensure that technology, talent, and regulation work together to foster an industry that is ethical, inclusive, competitive, and responsive to the needs of our society,” he added.

VON’s Director-General also praised the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, for his leadership in repositioning Nigeria’s information and public broadcasting sector under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He equally commended the Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Dr Olalekan Fadolapo, for reforms that have strengthened professionalism and enhanced confidence in the advertising industry.
