The Osun State All Progressives Congress, APC, says it is carefully studying the results of the 2026 Governorship election across the state before deciding on its next line of action.
The APC’s position followed the declaration of the election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which returned incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party as winner with 511,067 votes, ahead of the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.
In a statement signed by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the APC said “its leadership was reviewing the results from the 332 wards while consulting its team of lawyers on the constitutional options available to the party.”
The party said the electoral process does not end with the declaration of results, noting that “the law provides opportunities for parties to seek redress through the election tribunal, Court of Appeal and, where necessary, the Supreme Court.”

While acknowledging the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the APC urged “its supporters to remain calm and peaceful.”
The party reaffirmed its confidence in the rule of law, saying “it would allow justice to take its course after due consultation with its legal team.”
