The Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna says it’s security architecture was compromised in the early hours of Tuesday by unknown gunmen who gained access into the residential area within the Academy in Afaka.
In a statement signed by the Academy Public Relations Officer, Major Bashir Muhammed Jajira, it read that during the unfortunate incident, lives of two personnels were lost while one officer was abducted.
He disclosed that the Academy in collaboration with the 1Division Nigerian Army and Air Training Command and other security agencies in Kaduna state have commenced pursuit of the unknown gunmen within the general area with a view to tracking them and rescuing the abducted personnel.
Major Jajira confirmed that the NDA community and cadets are safe in the Academy.
He assured the general public of their commitment in apprehending the unknown gunmen soon.
