The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has begun a major mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 general election, targeting two million votes for President Bola Tinubu.
Governor Dapo Abiodun and the APC governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola, made the pledge in Ijebu-Ode at a mega rally organised by Caucus 7202 to mobilise support for the APC and its candidates ahead of the elections.
Abiodun described the large turnout as evidence of the APC’s strength, unity and grassroots support, saying his administration’s achievements had created a strong platform for the party to seek continued public confidence.

The governor endorsed Adeola as his preferred successor, describing the senator as an experienced and tested politician capable of consolidating his administration’s development efforts if elected governor.
He said: “As we approach another transition, we are confident that our governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA, possesses the political experience, competence and capacity to consolidate these gains and take Ogun State to even greater heights.”
Governor Abiodun added that the party’s task was to deepen grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas and take its message of performance, continuity and progress to every ward and community.

The APC governorship candidate of tue state, Adeola said Ogun had benefited from the Nigeria Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in infrastructure, citing the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Badagry-Sokoto Highway and the ongoing rehabilitation of the Sagamu-Benin Expressway.
He urged voters to support his governorship bid as well as APC candidates at all levels, pledging to expand ongoing projects across various sectors and build on the achievements of the Abiodun administration.
Adeola also dismissed reports of any political arrangement between him and opposition parties, urging APC members to remain focused and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.

The governorship candidate acknowledged the support of Caucus 7202, describing its mobilisation efforts as significant to the party’s electoral prospects.
The Ogun State APC Chairman, Yemi Sanusi, urged party members to take the APC manifesto to the grassroots and educate voters about the party’s policies, programmes and achievements.
Sanusi said sustained voter education, community engagement and disciplined mobilisation would be critical to the party’s performance in 2027.
Earlier, the Director-General of Caucus 7202, Olaseni Koiki, disclosed that the organisation comprised more than 1,000 support groups with nearly 200,000 members across Ogun State.
Koiki said about 90 per cent of the group’s members were not affiliated with political parties, describing their support for the APC as an indication of confidence in the party and its candidates.
He said Caucus 7202 would deploy its structures across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas to mobilise support for President Tinubu, Governor Abiodun’s senatorial ambition and Adeola’s governorship campaign.
The rally attracted thousands of APC supporters from the state’s 20 Local Government Areas and provided a platform for the party and its support groups to demonstrate their readiness for the 2027 elections.
It was attended by APC leaders, party chieftains, members of support groups and supporters across Ogun State.
