The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has unveiled its Campaign Council for the 2027 General Elections, setting the stage for a coordinated state-wide mobilisation ahead of the polls.
The Ogun State Chairman of the party, Yemi Sanusi, disclosed that the Campaign Council brings together senior party leaders, political stakeholders, and other members of the APC to coordinate the party’s campaign activities across the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.
Sanusi noted that a former governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba, is the Grand Patron of the Council, while former governors, Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun, are Deputy Grand Patrons.
The party chairman revealed that a former National Assembly member, Olalekan Mustapha, has been appointed Director-General of the Campaign Council.
He said the council is structured into various committees responsible for critical areas of the campaign, including grassroots mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, stakeholder engagement, as well as youth and women mobilisation.
Sanusi explained that other committees will coordinate contact and mobilisation efforts and support the party’s broader campaign strategy as it prepares for the Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.
The party chairman stated that the campaign structure was designed to strengthen the party’s organisational capacity and ensure effective coordination of its activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
He charged members of the council to work collectively and mobilise support for the APC across the state, to secure victory in the various electoral contests.
Sanusi said the unveiling of the council marks a significant step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 elections, as political parties intensify grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and campaign planning across Ogun State.
