Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has met with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General, Waidi Shaibu, at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting, held behind closed doors, formed part of Governor Zulum’s continued engagements with the military leadership on security and efforts to restore lasting peace in Borno State.
Although details of the meeting were not made public, the engagement came against the backdrop of ongoing military operations against insurgents and efforts to consolidate gains in the fight against terrorism in the North-East.
