Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido is set to headline a three-night residency at the newly remodelled National Theatre in Lagos in December.
The shows, scheduled for December 17 to 19, will mark the first live performance of his latest album, “Oriadé”, in Nigeria.
“Lagos! We’re bringing it back home! After 15 incredible years, there’s still nowhere else I’d rather be,” Davido shared on X.
The residency will see Davido perform in Lagos, where he grew up and began his music career.
He gained national recognition in 2011 with his breakthrough hit, “Dami Duro”, and later released songs including “Aye”, “If” and “Fall”, which helped him reach international audiences as Afrobeats gained global prominence.
Davido is expected to perform songs from “Oriadé” alongside selections from his previous albums.
His recent albums include “Timeless” and “5ive”. He released “Oriadé” in July 2026, with the album also lending its name to the residency.
Reflecting on the project, Davido described reconnecting with his African musical heritage after years of performing for international audiences.
