The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) has congratulated the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, on her selection for the Public Health Innovation Award at the Africa Future Leadership Conference and Awards 11.0.
The Agency called for stronger collaboration among government institutions, healthcare agencies and community organisations to expand HIV prevention and healthcare services.
The Executive Director of ANSACA, Dr. Nkem Okeke, said the recognition highlighted the importance of sustained public health advocacy, community participation and coordinated efforts to improve access to essential health services.
He commended Mrs. Soludo’s health advocacy through Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, which promotes healthier lifestyles and encourages community engagement in health interventions, including HIV awareness and prevention.

Okeke stressed that improving public health outcomes required sustained collaboration among government institutions, healthcare agencies, development partners and communities, particularly to extend essential services to underserved populations.
He reaffirmed ANSACA’s commitment to strengthening HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care services across Anambra State, while supporting people living with HIV and addressing stigma and discrimination.
The agency’s executive director urged stakeholders to translate health advocacy and public recognition into practical action by strengthening partnerships, supporting effective health programmes and ensuring that essential services reach communities in need.
He said collective responsibility remained critical to improving public health outcomes and ensuring that residents could access the care and support required to live healthier lives.
