President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received in audience the founder of Zenith Bank and Chairman of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Jim Ovia, at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, brought the prominent banker and business leader to the Presidential Villa amid the Federal Government’s sustained efforts to expand access to tertiary education through its student loan initiative.
Ovia, a leading figure in Nigeria’s financial services industry, chairs the governing board of NELFUND, the agency established to facilitate access to higher education through financial assistance to eligible Nigerian students.
The Fund, a major component of President Tinubu’s education reform agenda, is designed to remove financial barriers to tertiary education, particularly for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
