Nasarawa State Police Command says it’s has arrested sixty-one suspects with different crimes in the state.
Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State, CP Adesina Soyemi stated this while parading the suspects at the Police Command Headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
CP Soyemi expressed optimism to work on the solid foundation that had been laid, improve on it where necessary and vigorously launch an unstoppable onslaught against criminals and other elements with a similar mindset and take the battle to their hideouts, no matter how remote the place may be.
Several weapons and exhibits were recovered from different criminals among which are: Firearms recovered -5, Handset recovered -5, Magazine recovered -2, others are Ammunition recovered -4, Laptops recovered -1, Trucks/Vehicles recovered -4, and Money recovered 423,950 nairas.
Similarly, Suspects arrested were: Rail tracks Vandals -7, Kidnappers -16, Cultist -18, Internet fraudsters -7, Imposter -1, and Arm robbers -13 among others.
CP Soyemi further urged the good people of the State to be more supportive of the Police in the discharge of our statutory duty, by availing us credible information that will help to proactively neutralize or deal with matters of security in the State.
According to the CP, “Nasarawa State Police Command will not rest on its oars or revel in its accomplishments so far, rather this achievement has galvanized our tempo and posture audacity to clampdown heavily in a consistent and sustained manner on Criminal practitioners until they are roundly subjugated and their Criminal industry completely liquidated in Nasarawa State”.
