Oduala said the awards ceremony, scheduled for October 10 in Los Angeles, California, would recognise individuals and organisations that had touched lives and contributed to economic growth and community development.
Describing Otti as a “distinguished and notable personality,” Oduala said the governor’s recognition added a leadership and governance dimension to the 2026 edition.
“Gov. Otti’s inclusion places the spotlight on Abia State and Nigerian public leadership on an international platform,” he stated.
Oduala explained that the 2026 edition would bring together distinguished personalities from Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom and the global entertainment, business, political and cultural communities.
“We believe that the 2026 edition will step up the ‘Afro Awards’ tradition of bringing together influential personalities who have made their marks in different sectors. This is bringing Africa and the World together,” Oduala said.
