Adamawa Governor Urges United Front Against Terrorism

By Golfa Francis, Yola

The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on residents to unite against terrorism, violent extremism and other forms of criminality by supporting security agencies and promoting peace.

In a message to the people of the state, Governor Fintiri urged parents, youths and community leaders to reject hatred, report suspicious activities and work together to protect lives and property.

He stressed that peace and security require collective responsibility, warning that extremism and violent crime threaten the state’s unity, progress and development.

“We build, we learn, we worship and we grow every day, but extremism and violent crime seek to take these away from us. Stand with me and unite against terror,” the Governor said.

He also advised residents to reject divisive messages, shield children from extremist influences and strengthen cooperation with security agencies in the fight against insecurity.

Governor Fintiri cautioned against sharing content that glorifies terrorists and bandits, noting that “such actions could unintentionally support criminal groups and their objectives.”

He urged citizens to back the Nigerian Government’s efforts to address insecurity while promoting good governance and condemning all forms of violence.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, Governor Fintiri declared that terrorism, kidnapping and violent crime have no place in Adamawa State.

He called on residents to embrace the campaign slogan, “Unite Against Terror,” saying the people of Adamawa are stronger when they stand together against fear and insecurity.
