Adamu Aliero Re-elected In Kebbi Central Senatorial District

The Independent National Election Commission, INEC  in Kebbi State North Western Nigeria has declared incumbent Senator Adamu Aliero of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as the winner in Kebbi Central Senatorial District on Saturday 25th February elections.

Senator Aliero contested for the seat with Governor Atiku Bagudu of the All Progressive Congress, APC and polled the highest votes.

The returning officer for the Kebbi Central Senatorial, Professor Abbas Bazata declared  the PDP candidate Aliero the winner having scored the highest votes of  126, 588 to beat the Governor who got 92, 389 votes.

Meanwhile, another long-time APC Lawmaker, the senatorial candidate for Kebbi South, Bala Ibn Na’Allah also lost re-election to the opposition PDP.

The Returning Officer for the INEC in the election, Ibrahim Muhammad, announced the candidate of the PDP, Garba Maidoki, who polled 75,232 votes to defeat Mr Na’Allah who secure 70,785 votes.

Mr Maidoki, the PDP candidate, a first-timer contestant, defeated Mr Na’Allah, a three-time senator who also served in the House of Representatives twice.
