President Bola Tinubu says all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are united by a common destiny and shared commitment to the nation’s progress.
President Tinubu made the remark on Tuesday in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria, during a grand reception organised by the APC to welcome the Governor of the State, Mr Peter Mba to the party, having recently defected to the party.
The President, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, assured the Governor that he would enjoy the same rights with those he met in his new party.
The National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, commended the Governor for taking the bold decision to join the progressives family.
Professor Yilwatda later handed over the flag of the APC and a broom, the symbol of the party, to formally induct him into the party.
Governor Mba said his decision to join the APC was a collective one taken by the entire political family of the State.
