APC Releases Timetable for Primaries in Restored State Constituencies

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the schedule of activities and timetable for primary elections in restored state constituencies across Benue, Delta, Jigawa and Kogi states ahead of the 2027 General Election.

According to the timetable signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the process commenced with the issuance of notices to state chapters on June 16, 2026.

The affected constituencies include Nyamatsor, Ukum Afia, Konshisha III, Makurdi III and Gboko III in Benue State; Aniocha North II, Ika North East II, Sapele II, Ethiope West II, Warri South West II and Warri North II in Delta State; Aujara Constituency in Jigawa State; and Adavi East, Eika, Ajaokuta North, Bassa-Komu, Dekina Town and District, Ijumu II, Kabba-Bunu II, Koton Karfe II, Igalaogwa and Ogugu constituencies in Kogi State.

The party fixed June 17 to June 19 for the sale of nomination forms, while the deadline for submission of completed forms and accompanying documents is June 19.

Screening of aspirants and publication of screening results are scheduled for June 22, while appeals arising from the screening process will be heard on June 23.

The APC said primary elections for the affected constituencies will hold on June 24, 2026, with appeals from the primaries slated for June 25.

For the House of Assembly primaries, aspirants are required to purchase an Expression of Interest Form for ₦1 million and a Nomination Form for ₦5 million, bringing the total cost to ₦6 million.

The party, however, stated that female, youth and physically challenged aspirants will pay only for the Expression of Interest Form and 50 percent of the prescribed nomination fee.

APC directed all payments to be made into its designated bank accounts and advised interested aspirants to contact the Directorate of Organisation for further details.
