APC Stakeholders storm Awka for South East meeting

In preparation for the forthcoming November 6th, 2021 governorship election in Anambra state, political parties have continued to galvanise support for the party.

This was demonstrated in the South East, All Progressive Congress, APC, Stakeholders meeting, held in Awka, the State capital.

The meeting witnessed heavy presence of personalities from the party across the South East.

Some of them include the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema, Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Dr Uche Ogah, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba,.

Others were the Governor of Imo State, Dr Hope Uzodimma, the South East Representative in the National Caretaker Committee, Sen Dr Ken Nnamani, the Former National Organizing Secretary of APC, Senator Osita Izunnaso,Director General, Voice of Nigeria(VON),Osita Okechukwu.

Governorship aspirants in the state, Senators, National Assembly members, States’ Chairmen, and other party leaders were also present.

Governor of Imo State and Co-ordinator Reconciliation Effort, South East, Governor Hope Uzodimma, said the party would maintain transparency,  fairness in all the congresses in Anambra state.

He said the party would not impose any candidate on the people.

Governor Uzodimma called for oneness and demonstration of unity, love to ensure victory for APC come November 6th, governorship election.

Dr Ogbonnaya Onu re-emphased the need to remain united and work hard without rancour, to ensure unprecedented victory.

Chairman, Caretaker Committee of APC , Anambra state, honourable Basil Ejidike noted that their coming to Anambra for this important engagement was timely and divinely fashioned because of the election.

Ejidike stated that the unity of the party would offer great opportunity to win the governorship election.

“Anambra is a strategic state in the South East and we must work hard to ensure that the state swings to the mainstream political party,
APC.

“MY team and I have been able to in the past 2 years to steer the party into relevance in the state. We have engaged in activities that have sucessded in projecting, repositioning and changing the false narrative about APC in Anambra state.” Ejidike noted.

The Chairman x-rayed some of his achievements which includes holding interactive session with the vice president, setting up fact finding committee geared towards itentifying problems and solution.

He pointed some anticipated challenges as the need for adequate logistics, paucity of fund, lack of reward system among others.

Dr Ken Nnamani stated that the emergence of Hope Uzodima had given impetus to the party within the short time.

He had galvanised unprecedented support for the party.

Dr Nnamani observed that Anambra had shown a lot of examples in all sectors of economy, especially in the area of commerce and industry. It has demonstrated that importance of national politics.

He urged the South East to join hands in identifying with the national politics, to ensure adequate political grip.

The Minister of labour and  Ngige, Dr Chris Ngige, while speaking at the event urged aspirants to play politics of love and oneness, and be committed to promoting the affairs of the party.
