The Coalition of APC Support Groups National Coordinators has called for strategic partnerships, institutional support and sustainable funding opportunities to strengthen its structures, programmes and grassroots engagements ahead of the 2027 Nigeria’s General election.
The coalition made the appeal during a courtesy visit by its national executive members to the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the National Assembly Library Trust Fund (NALTF), Henry Nwawuba, in Abuja.
Leading the delegation, the National Convener of the coalition, Richard Onyebuwa, said; “the organisation was established to provide a coordinated platform for APC support groups and their national coordinators to work together, strengthen grassroots structures and improve collaboration among member organisations.”
Onyebuwa said the coalition was committed to building strategic partnerships to enhance its capacity for grassroots mobilisation, leadership development and other programmes aimed at strengthening its operations nationwide.
He commended the coalition’s leadership for its efforts to establish a coordinated organisational structure and advised its members to develop a credible and sustainable framework for their activities.
He stressed the importance of strategic relationships and partnerships in achieving organisational goals, noting that “collaboration among support groups could promote stronger coordination and institutional growth.”
Nwawuba also encouraged the coalition to explore cooperation with the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), chaired by James Abiodun Faleke, to foster greater synergy among established support structures.
The former lawmaker further urged the coalition to identify legitimate and sustainable sources of funding to support its programmes and activities.
Speaking on behalf of the coalition, the National Director-General, Presidential Campaign Council, Coalition of APC Support Groups National Coordinators, AlHassan Mohammed Baba, thanked Nwawuba for receiving the delegation and for the guidance provided during the engagement.
Baba said “the coalition would consider the advice and observations shared during the meeting as it continued to develop its structures, programmes and relationships with relevant stakeholders.”
The coalition described the visit as part of its broader efforts to strengthen engagement with key stakeholders and build a coordinated network of APC support-group leaders across the country ahead of the 2027 political season.
