The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has released the timetable for the screening of aspirants seeking to contest for Senate, House of Representatives and state Assembly seats ahead of its 2026 primary elections.
In a statement issued in Awka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, said the screening exercise for Senate and House of Representatives aspirants would take place on May 11, 2026, at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
According to the statement, aspirants for the Anambra State House of Assembly will be screened on May 12 at the party’s regional office in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.

APGA stated that only members of the screening committee and cleared aspirants would be granted access to the venues, warning supporters, aides and associates to stay away to ensure orderliness during the exercise.
The party also directed aspirants to appear in person with the original copies of their highest academic qualifications for verification, noting that photocopies would not be accepted.
Opara said the screening exercise would be conducted free of charge and cautioned aspirants against making payments to any individual or committee.
“Any demand for payment should be reported immediately to the National Secretariat,” the statement said.
The party stated that screening schedules for aspirants from states outside Anambra would be announced later through its official communication channels.
APGA urged all aspirants to comply strictly with the approved dates, time and screening requirements.
