Celine Dion Returns To Stage After Six Years

Canadian singer Celine Dion has returned to the stage for her first full concert in six years, performing before about 30,000 fans at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, near Paris, France.

Dion, 58, made her comeback on Saturday, September 12, opening the concert with her French ballad, On ne change pas, amid an emotional reception from fans.

The singer had stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affected her ability to perform and forced her to cancel several shows.

Visibly emotional during the opening song, Dion told the audience: “I am everything I am because you loved me.”
She also reflected on her difficult journey, saying she had held on to “a faint ray of light” despite the challenges.

The concert marks the beginning of a 26-show run at the arena, with 16 performances scheduled for September and October and another 10 planned for May 2027.

Dion told the cheering crowd that she was ready to “sing for you, sing for myself, sing for life.”
The concerts are being produced by AEG Presents.
