Chinese top political adviser, Wang Huning, has met with Egyptian Senate Speaker, Essam El-Din Ahmed Mohamed Farid, in Beijing, China’s capital.
Wang noted that President Xi Jinping’s recent visit to Egypt was successful and historic, adding that the two leaders reached broad consensus that has set the direction for the further development of bilateral relations.

He emphasised that China was ready to work with Egypt to fully implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, expand mutually beneficial cooperation and advance the building of a China-Egypt community with a shared future.
Farid noted that Egypt-China relations had maintained healthy and steady growth over the past seven decades.
He affirmed Egypt’s readiness to take an active part in the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen cooperation with China in the areas of economy, trade, science and technology.
