Cholera outbreak kills 6 people 33 hospitalised in Plateau, the outbreak has been reported in five Local Government Council Areas of Plateau State.

Commissioner for Health, Dr Nimkong Lar said, the state has recorded some confirmed cases.

No fewer than 6 deaths and 33 confirmed cases have been recorded in the state.

It was gathered the affected local governments are Jos South, Jos North, Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Bassa.
He advised the public to ensure that only water from trusted sources was consumed.

He cautioned the public against indiscriminate eating of fruits and vegetables, saying that such items must thoroughly be washed first.
