By Temitope Mustapha, Abuja

The City Boy Movement has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027, citing youth-oriented policies, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), as key drivers of support among young Nigerians.

Speaking during the second day of the group’s National Retreat in Abuja, themed “Youth, Unity, Action,” the APC candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency and Youth Leader of the City Boy Movement, Lagos Chapter, Dr. Seriki Murtala, said the gathering aimed at mobilising young people and strengthening support for the President’s policies.

Murtala said; “programmes focused on education, empowerment and youth development, particularly NELFUND, have increased opportunities for young Nigerians and contributed to growing support for the administration.”

“The government of President Tinubu is centres around the development of Nigeria that our young people are going to benefit from,” he said.

He noted that participants from across the country used the retreat to discuss strategies for sustaining youth engagement and supporting policies they believe would improve the welfare and future of young Nigerians.

Murtala also expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in the next presidential election, arguing that the party had learned lessons from previous polls and was better positioned for future contests.

The retreat attracted National and State Directors of the City Boy Movement from across Nigeria, with discussions focused on youth mobilisation and political participation ahead of future elections.
