COAS Reaffirms Partnership With Private Sector For Logistics

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to deepening collaboration with industries to strengthen the Nigerian Army’s logistics backbone.

He stated this while receiving the executive management of Elizade Nigeria Limited at the Army Headquarters, Abuja, where he was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), Major General Bamidele Alabi.

The Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, disclosed that the Chief of Army Staff stressed that a dependable and mission-ready vehicle fleet remains indispensable to combat effectiveness, enabling rapid force deployment, sustained operations and timely responses to emerging threats.

He observed that partnerships with credible private-sector organisations have become critical force multipliers in fleet management, equipment maintenance, technical support and manpower development.

He commended Elizade Nigeria Limited for its longstanding support to the Nigerian Army through vehicle supply, maintenance services, technical collaboration and industrial training opportunities for personnel of military workshop units.

According to him, the company’s contributions have complemented ongoing efforts to strengthen the Army’s logistics architecture while improving operational efficiency in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.

The Chief of Army Staff further reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to providing a secure environment that supports economic growth, encourages investment and reinforces the close relationship between national security and national development.

He maintained that stronger collaboration among the military, government institutions and the private sector remains essential to building resilient defence capabilities and sustaining operational effectiveness.

Earlier, the Branch Manager, Elizade Nigeria Limited, Mr Adeniji Abiodun Adeyinka, conveyed the goodwill of the company’s Founder, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, and its management.

He commended the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff and reaffirmed Elizade’s readiness to deepen its longstanding partnership with the Nigerian Army through expanded technical support, fleet maintenance services, industrial attachment opportunities and the delivery of quality automotive solutions tailored to the Army’s evolving operational requirements.
