Community Pays Solidarity Visit to Gombe State Governor

Thousands of residents of a thriving suburb of Gombe metropolis, Tunfure community, have paid a solidarity visit to Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, declaring their total support for his re-election bid in Saturday’s election.

Youths, women and elderly people were at the Government House on Thursday to thank the Governor for addressing the perennial water scarcity, awarding road contracts and providing other interventions in their area.

Some of the people who spoke, said they were at the government House to express their gratitude to Governor Yahaya for standing by the people of Tunfure.

The leader of elders’ forum in the community, Alhaji Yelwa assured Governor Yahaya of their bulk vote in the Saturday Governorship and State Assembly elections.

Also, the representative of the women groups, Mrs. Ladidi Mega explained that “the provision of drinking water and the award of road contract in the area presupposed that all men and women desirous of incremental development must vote for Governor Muhammadu Yahaya for continuity and consolidation.”

Also speaking the representative of the youths, Usman Shongo lauded the Governor for his administrative ingenuity without which he said, “the progress so far recorded in the state will remain a mirage.”

Responding, Governor Yahaya thanked the people of Tunfure for the solidarity visit, assuring them of better days ahead if they stand in solidarity with the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said “the multi billion naira water and road projects being executed in Tunfure was a clear testament of his administration’s commitment to deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people.”

Governor Yahaya reminded the people not to fall to the fruitless antics of the opposition parties in the state but to remain true to the APC cause whose track record is visible for everyone to see and touch.

He said his “administration remained committed to the common good of the people of the state and would therefore maintain the same for the shared prosperity of all.”

The member representing Akko Federal Constituency, Usman Kumo, enjoined the people of Tunfure to vote for Governor Yahaya in view of his incredible performance within and outside their community.

He said the Governor has consistently displayed courage and unwavering commitment towards the advancement of the social, economic and infrastructure development of Gombe State.
