Easter: Cleric Urges Christians To Shun Sin

As Christians in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria join its counterpart all over the world to commemorate the feast of Good Friday, the Bishop of Anglican Communion, His Lordship Monday Nkwegu has urged all Christians to return to God and eschew sins in all ramifications.

The Bishop made this Plea as part of his Good Friday message in Abakaliki the State Capital.

Nkwegu said: “Good Friday is the day that Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross of Calvary for the remission of sins and also to redeem all mankind. It is a special day in the lives of Christians.

“The blood of Jesus shed on that Good Friday cleared the way for man to relate well with God,he added.

He urged all Christians to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible.

“For one to comply to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ, one thing is very important, and it’s a total repentance from your sinful ways, that will make you not conform to the standard of the world,Nkwegu explained.
