Eid-Al-Fitr: Paramount Ruler urges citizens to be law-abiding

The Emir of Kano in Northwest Nigeria, Aminu Ado Bayero has urged Muslims and other Nigerians alike to be law abiding in all their endeavour to engender Peace and promote meaningful development in the nation.

The Emir who spoke in the Hausa language advised in an Eid message at Kofar Boru after prayers and sermons at the Kano Central Mosque.

The Emir called on the people to always be law-abiding and vigilant and report any untoward attitude to security agencies.

He enjoined the people to accord the forthcoming National population census the needed support for the exercise to achieve maximum success.

Dressed in colourful traditional attire, accompanied by district heads and other traditional title holders, Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero, rode on a horse and followed the routes of Kofar Wambai, Charanchi, Zagge and Doroyi before giving the Eid message at Kofar Boru where a mini durbar was also held.

During the sermon earlier, the chief Iman of Kano state Professor Sani Zarhadeen urged the Muslim faithful to emulate and practice the lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan especially extending good gestures to the needy.

The Chief Imam who spoke in the Arabic language appealed to the general populace to redouble their effort in praying for continuous peace and harmony in the state.
