A Germany-based education technology organisation, EIDU, has donated learning materials in English and Mathematics to basic education learners across Oyo State as part of efforts to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes in public primary schools.
The learning materials, designed for pupils in Primary 1 to Primary 3, are expected to provide additional support for classroom instruction and help learners develop stronger foundational skills in English and Mathematics.
At the formal flag-off of the donation at Community Basic School, Ikolaba, Ibadan, the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran, commended EIDU for its continued partnership with the state in advancing basic education.
Adeniran said the intervention would complement the Oyo State Government’s commitment to providing free and quality education for children across the state.
He noted that EIDU had previously supported the education sector through digital training for teachers and learners, describing the latest donation as another practical contribution towards improving learning outcomes among pupils.
The OYOSUBEB Chairman said the distribution of the materials to Primary 1 to Primary 3 learners across schools in the state would provide teachers and pupils with useful resources to reinforce lessons and make learning more engaging.
