An entertainment firm in Lagos, Ekwe Nche Entertainment, revealed a Bible quiz reality show targeted at instilling good morals in youths.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ifeanyi Ukaeru, unveiled at the ceremony on Saturday that the reality show was designed to help youths to imbibe and practise the teachings of the scriptures.

The winner, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) would get N3 million prize money and that participation would be open to those between the ages of 18 years and 25 years.

“It has a reward of N1.5 million for the first runner-up; N1 million for the second runner up-and a N100,000 each for seven finalists.

“Ten people will be evicted every three weeks until the finalists emerge.

“The programme which will test youth’s knowledge of the scriptures and ways to apply them in relationships with others will be spiced with Biblical comic reliefs to thrill viewers.

“Our concept is to prune peoples’ characters especially youths because of their vulnerability to vices and deviance,’’ Ukaeru said.

Ukaeru also said that the reality show planned to instill moral values in youths as well as discourage them against the plethora of other shows that were blind to societal ethos and values arguing that entertainment was a veritable tool for reaching out to youths.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that participants would be required to register with N3,000 in the show entitled: “Do You Know Your Bible? Season One.’’

The show will begin with an audition on Sept. 11 in Lagos where 40 participants will be chosen to compete for the prizes.

Forms for the project will be available at strategic points in Lagos.
