Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has appointed Nollywood actresses Rachael Okonkwo as Senior Special Assistant on Film and Creative Industry Development.
Mbah also appointed veteran Actress, Eucharia Anunobi, Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for the Enugu-North Zone.
The appointments were disclosed in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.
Onyia noted that the governor approved the appointment of 118 aides under three categories: seven Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and 88 Special Assistants (SAs).

Okonkwo is an indigene of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State and gained widespread recognition for her lead role in the ‘Nkoli Nwa Nsukka’ film series.
Veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi, who came to limelight in Nollywood in the 1990s and has featured in over 90 films, later became an evangelist.
In their respective positions, Okonkwo is expected to spearhead programmes aimed at developing the film and creative industry, while Anunobi will coordinate women mobilisation activities in the Enugu-North Zone.
