Former Director-General of the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation, Dr Audu Musa Idowu, on Friday visited Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at the Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin, following his recent resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Idowu, who was received by the governor during the courtesy visit, was accompanied by other political stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by the Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Sunday Adeniran Fagbemi; member representing Ekiti Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel; and other party members and political stakeholders.

Although details of the discussions were not made public, the meeting provided an opportunity for Idowu and the governor to exchange views on issues of mutual interest.
The visit comes amid political developments in Kwara State, where political actors and groups have continued consultations and repositioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Idowu’s engagement with Governor AbdulRazaq has attracted attention because of his previous association with former Kwara State Governor and former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
He previously served as Director-General of the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation before his recent resignation from the PDP.
His subsequent meeting with Governor AbdulRazaq has therefore generated interest among political observers, particularly against the backdrop of ongoing political realignments in the state.
However, there was no official indication from either Idowu or the governor that the visit represented a formal defection, alliance or change of political affiliation.

The presence of the APC state chairman and other party figures at the meeting highlighted the political context of the engagement, although no specific outcome was announced.
The meeting also comes as political parties and stakeholders in Kwara intensify consultations, mobilisation and preparations ahead of the 2027 elections.
Idowu’s recent departure from the PDP adds to the evolving political dynamics in the state, where movements by prominent political actors are being closely watched as the election season approaches.
