A clear 8 days ahead of their President Federation Cup final match against Abakaliki FC, Kwara United, this morning departed Ilorin for Lagos ,the venue of the epic encounter.
A visit to the Club Secretariat, their take off point, situated within the General George Innih Stadium, some 45 minutes before they departed at exactly 7 am, I noticed a very high spirit, rising confidence, high friendly disposition, unrestricted camaraderie and strong determination as the players settled into small groups discussing what obviously looks like a strategic playing formula and winning mentality which will see them through in their quest for national glory.

In separate chats ,team Physician, Dr.Rotimi Oyinloye ,expressed delight as he beamed with smiles and excitement while giving all the players a clean bill of health.
Club’s season’s highest goal scorer,Wasiu Alalade beckons on fans and supporters to pray for the team, promising to do his best to make Kwara proud.

Yours truly also spoke with Club’s long serving bus driver “Baba Easy” who prays the team will travel back to Ilorin with the trophy in his bus.

Meanwhile, good will messages continue to pour in for the Club by its well wishers.
The latest of such messages came in from a former FIFA Executive member and one of Nigeria’s longest serving Sports administrators, Dr.Amos Adamu who wished the team a successful outing.
Observers are of the opinion that early arrival in Lagos, underscores the management resolve to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the team’s emphatic victory on match day while also giving them the opportunity to acclimatize and get used to the playing turf.
