Nigerian singer-songwriter Afolarin Odunlami, popularly known as Fola, has recalled working in a factory as a teenager before pursuing a career in music.
The singer shared a photograph of his former staff identity card from 2016 on social media, reflecting on his journey from his first job to his music career.
Fola said the card reminded him of his life at 15, when he had no idea that music would later transform his circumstances.

He wrote that his younger self could not have imagined that, 10 years later, he would look back at the identity card from his first job and realise that music would be the means through which God would change his life.
The singer’s reflection highlights the early stage of his journey and the transition from working as a teenager to pursuing music professionally.
