The Fulani community in Kwara State , North Central Nigeria has passed a vote of confidence on the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
This development, according to them is in recognition of the government unprecedented achievements especially in the areas of social and economic development.

The Fulani community also endorsed the candidacy of the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly and APC gubernatorial candidate, Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi for the 2027 election.
Speaking on behalf of various Fulani groups and associations at a press conference in Ilorin , the Chairman, Fulbe Development and Cultural Organization (FUDECO), Kwara State Chapter, Hon. Saliu Umar Sanda, expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq for his all inclusive administration.
The associations that were present at the press conference included the Fulbe Development and Cultural Organisation (FUDECO), Kwara State chapter, the Fulani Communities, and the various Fulani Associations across Kwara State.
Hon Sanda commended the Governor for his visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to inclusive governance and remarkable
developmental strides across the state.
“Your Excellency, we sincerely appreciate your administration for giving the Fulani community a genuine sense of belonging. Your government has demonstrated fairness, justice, and inclusiveness by ensuring that no community is left behind in the affairs of government.
“History will remember your administration as the first in Kwara State to present unprecedented opportunities for the Fulani community through the appointment of more
than six qualified sons and daughters of our community into strategic positions,including
Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and other important public offices.
“This singular gesture has strengthened our confidence in your administration and reaffirmed our belief that every citizen of Kwara State deserves equal opportunities irrespective of tribe or background.”
The Fulani community also commended the Governor’s remarkable achievements in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, employment and youth empowerment rural development and numerous people-oriented programmes that have positively transformed the lives of Kwarans.
“We particularly appreciate the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development, a landmark initiative that reflects your administration’s commitment to developing the livestock sector and recognizing its vital contribution to
the economy of Kwara State.
“On behalf of the Fulani communities and associations in Kwara State, we reaffirm our
confidence in your leadership and respectfully assure Your Excellency of our continued support for your administration and the progressive ideals of the AIl Progressives
Congress (APC).
“We equally wish to state that we will continue to stand by and support candidates presented by our great party at the national, state and local levels,while working tirelessly to promote peace, unity, and progress within our communities.
“We humbly appeal that Your Excellency continues your support for the Fulani community through more appointments, empowerment programmes, educational
opportunities, agricultural and livestock interventions, and other developmental initiatives that will further improve the welfare of our people and strengthen their contributions to the growth and prosperity of Kwara State.”
In his good will message, former Special Assistant on Fulani Affairs, Hon Abdulsalam Atiku said all Fulani socio-cultural groups have endorsed the candidacy of Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi as APC governorship flagbearer.
“Following wide consultations and in the interest of sustaining the gains of the present administration, I respectfully affirm that our great cultural organisations here present, wholeheartedly endorse the candidature of Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Salihu Yakubu Danladi for the office of Governor of Kwara State in the 2027 general elections, following his emergence as the APC gubernatorial candidate,” he said.
He said groups believe that Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi possesses the leadership qualities, experience, competence and vision required to consolidate the remarkable achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and take Kwara State to greater heights.
“Our support is founded on the expectation that his administration will promote an inclusive government where every community has a sense of belonging,strengthening security across the state, modernise and expand nomadic education infrastructure empower pastoralists and farming communities, encourage youth and women development, and promote peaceful coexistence as the foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity.”
He called on all members of Fulani communities, stakeholders, groups and associations to remain united, peaceful and steadfast in their support for the APC.
“Together, let us work tirelessly to deliver another resounding victory in 2027 just as we did in 2019 and 2023, for the continued progress and prosperity of our dear Kwara State.”
Also speaking, the Ado Baruten,
Alhaji Hassan Yusuf described the emergence of Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi as APC governorship candidate as a sign of better things to come to Kwara.
He expressed confidence that Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi would consolidate on the gains of administration of Governor AbdulRazaq.
He called on the Fulani community to sustain their support for the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq and vote massively for all the candidates of APC come 2027 general elections.
