Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has urged Nigerians to build a positive and lasting legacy through good deeds that will be remembered even after their death.

Jonathan made the call during the Funeral Mass for the late Mrs. Keturah Koweletam Ominabo, mother of his media aide, Mr. Wealth Ominabo, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Imiringi Town, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Southern Nigeria.

Jonathan said, “Keturah has served and lived a decent life. That is why we are here to celebrate her departure.”

He emphasized that the death of the deceased should serve as a reminder to everyone to reflect on their own lives and the legacy they intend to leave behind.

“So what we have to do is to make sure that we have something to remember,” Jonathan stated.

He expressed his condolences to the Ominabo family, assuring them that they were not alone in their grief.

“For the family, you are not alone. We will mourn with you, and we will continue to be with you. To the clergymen, we thank you for coming to preside over this ceremony.” He said.
