Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has submitted his nomination form for the All Progressives Congress governorship primaries ahead of the 2027 elections in Abuja.

Addressing journalists, Governor Eno reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining infrastructure and socio-economic development in Akwa Ibom State.

The Governor said the decision to seek a second term was aimed at consolidating the achievements of his administration under the ARISE Agenda.

“I have just submitted the nomination form for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primaries. We call on members of APC to support our nomination during the primaries, as we will continue to pray and trust God for more development to thrive in the state.

This decision is driven by the need to consolidate on the progress we have collectively made and continue the execution of the numerous projects and programmes already ongoing across our state under the ARISE Agenda,” he said.

The governor noted that his administration had recorded remarkable progress in key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, aviation, agriculture, tourism, education, and rural development.

“In the last three years, we have recorded significant milestones in infrastructure, healthcare, aviation, agriculture, tourism, education, and rural development. Many of these projects are still ongoing, and I believe continuity will help us fully realise the vision behind them for the benefit of our people,” he stated.

Governor Eno disclosed that more than 82 major projects were currently at different stages of completion across the state, stressing that his administration remained focused on delivering them to improve the welfare of the people.

“This move is a clear indication of my readiness to do more for the state in the coming years,” he said.

While appealing to party faithful to support his aspiration during the APC primaries, Governor Eno expressed confidence that continued cooperation would enable his administration to deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people.

“I assure you of this administration’s resolve to build on existing achievements and ensure that more benefits of governance reach the people if given another mandate,” Governor Eno stated.

The governor also appreciated the people of Akwa Ibom for their sustained support and prayers, pledging to continue serving the state with diligence, integrity, and the fear of God.

He further assured residents of his commitment to building on existing achievements if re-elected.

“I sincerely appreciate Akwa Ibom people for the love, prayers, trust, and support shown to our administration so far, and I remain committed to continue serving with diligence, peace, and the fear of God,” he said.
